Tremors of Color, Still Waters —
Shaken Emotions, Submerged Memories
This drawing began in early spring, 2019—
a time when my inner world was violently unsettled.
Unlike the submerged emotions buried in black ink,
this work trembled through color.
Its vibrations were erratic,
scattered like fragments.
I drew this red surface
not with “consciousness,”
but with the memory of the body.
Through 16 layers built one upon another,
time, emotion, and the trace of irretrievable days
were embedded between the colors.
Subsequent drawings sought to lift forgotten emotional fragments
back to the surface—through color.

Color spread—
sometimes as shards of feeling,
sometimes as waves of memory.
Through these drawings,
I wanted to call back
what had disappeared.
red, magenta, orange, green —
beneath these colors,
unheard voices lie sleeping.
