의자와 의자 Chair and chair, 5.6x8.3cm each, photograph, 1993

 

이 사진 작업은 연극적 형식을 빌리고 있다. 11컷으로 구성되어 있는 이 사진들은 연출된 공간과 상황을 보여주려 했고, 두개의 의자와 하나의 거울, 그리고 인물의 등장에 따른 암시적 스토리를 연속적으로 표현해  상상력을 자극하려 했다.인화지의 크기에 비해 매우 작은 사진들은 광각 렌즈로 촬영한 기법과 함께 밀폐된 공간 속의 상황을 들여다보는 경험을 가지게 하였다.

 

These photo works adapt the dramatic forms. They consist of 11 frames showing dramatic space and characters. The suggestive story performed by the cast with two chairs and a mirror is shown in sequence. Rather small photos taken with a wide-angle lens developed on much larger sensitized paper give viewers the experience that they are looking at something in a closed space.
