Unclosed Surface — Points of Suspension

Four drawings, made over several days.
Each began from a similar condition,
yet moved toward different densities and intervals.
The earlier works accumulated gestures.
The later ones began to leave gaps.
At a certain point, I stopped.
Not because the surface was resolved,
but because further layering would close
the remaining intervals.
What remains here is not a finished image,
but a state held open—
between accumulation and breath,
between continuation and suspension.
닫히지 않는 표면 – 멈춘 지점들
며칠에 걸쳐 진행된 네 점의 드로잉.
비슷한 조건에서 시작되었지만,
각기 다른 밀도와 간극으로 나아간다.
제스처의 축적에서 점차 간극으로 이동하다,
어느 지점에서 멈춘다.
나는 표면의 완결을 원하지 않는다.
겹겹이 쌓인 레이어가 간극을 닫기 직전,
남아 있는 것은 완성된 이미지가 아니라,
열려 있는 각각의 상태—
축적과 숨 사이,
지속과 중단 사이에 머무는 그 상태.
